When you have a world-class cricket ground on your estate, you should have a world-class cricket Pavilion to go with it.

We suggested building in the finest English tradition using timber and thatch to create a sporting pavilion typical of the British countryside. It had to be first class as the pitch was right up there with the best and the good and great of British cricket were regular players and expected the best.

Getting our ideas past the local planners was another story.

Suffice to say that a compromise was reached in terms of scale. Flexibility to cater for larger events was achieved by creating service points for power, water and sewerage which marquees could tap directly into for the bigger days.

The final result has been a big hit not just for the client, but players and fans alike.
