As architects we strive to ensure our work meets our client's aesthetic, space and living requirements, while also enhancing and complimenting their lifestyle.
Once these thresholds have been met and the overall architectural scheme realised, attention turns to the fine details of the interior architecture. This includes the kitchen, larder and pantry, but more often than not, extends to general furniture such as bookcases, cabinetry, coat stands, alcoves, boot rooms, bedrooms and bedroom storage, radiator covers and benches, office furniture and even more unusual items such as secure sporting gun storage, saunas and libraries.
We are proud to work extensively with some of the country's best interior designers to help them and their clients to fulfill their vision.
On a few rare ocassions, a project may not be suitable or appropriate for their service but with our skills, expertise and experience that we have in-house, we are well equipped to provide as an additional service all the cabinetry design.
Often these details are seen as outside the interest or expertise of architects and automatically outsourced to various specific contractors.
However having worked with a client to understand their architectural vision, at JCA we can use our specific project knowledge, to suggest, design, draw up, comission and supervise appropriate craftspeople. This could be anything from exquistly made items such as built-in or free-standing furniture to simple larder fittings - all competitively priced with the 'headline' contractor companies.
Over the years we have built up a roster of specialist craftspeople from highly skilled cabinet makers, to specialists in marquetry, French polishing, leather finishing, graining, marbling, faux bois, stained glass, stainless steel crafting, lighting and sound technicians and even blacksmithing amongst other.
We specify for example, the same high quality fittings that you would expect from these top companies such as drawer sliders, hinges, handles, fixings, materials and discrete lighting systems.
Below you will see a wide variety of our work from the simple to the sublime.
